Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre

RFP Closing Date: EXTENDED February 18, 2026

  1. Introduction
    The Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre (VFWC) is seeking proposals from qualified graphic designers, branding studios, or creative teams to develop a new brand identity, including a logo and brand kit.

The Centre is currently undertaking a community-informed rebranding process to ensure its name and visual identity reflect who it is today and who it strives to be in the future. This work is grounded in respect, inclusion, and care, and will be informed by community input gathered through surveys, focus groups, and community voting.

  1. Organizational Background
    For decades, the Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre has been a place of safety, support, advocacy, and connection in the Yukon. The Centre supports women and gender-diverse individuals, working to create safer and more empowered communities.
    As programs, services, and the community served by the Centre have evolved, VFWC is undertaking a rebrand to ensure its identity reflects its values, mandate, and inclusive approach for women and gender diverse community members.

  2. Project Overview
    The successful proponent will work with VFWC to develop a refreshed brand identity that:
  • Reflects the Centre’s values, mission, and community roots
  • Is inclusive of women and gender-diverse people
  • Is trauma-informed and culturally respectful
  • Balances warmth, strength, and trust
  • Is adaptable across print, digital, and physical spaces

The final brand name selection will be done by the VFWC board with input from feedback.

  1. Scope of Work
    The scope of work is expected to include:

a) Logo Design

  • Primary logo in all formats including (AI, EPS, PNG, JPG, SVG)
  • Secondary/alternate logo versions (e.g., horizontal, stacked)
  • Black and white versions
  • Logo usage guidelines

b) Brand Kit Development

  • Colour palette
  • Typography (primary and secondary fonts)
  • Brand patterns or graphic elements (if applicable)
  • Iconography style (if applicable)
  • Photography/imagery style guidance

c) Brand Guidelines Document

  • Clear usage guidelines for logo, colours, and fonts
  • Accessibility considerations
  • Tone and visual style guidance

d) Deliverables

  • Final logo files (AI, EPS, PNG, JPG, SVG)
  • Brand guideline document (PDF)
  • Any supporting brand assets developed through the process
  1. Community-Centred Approach
    Proponents should demonstrate an understanding of community-centred, trauma-informed, and inclusive design practices. Experience working with non-profits, Indigenous organizations, women’s organizations, or community-serving organizations is considered an asset.

The successful proponent will be expected to incorporate feedback provided by VFWC, which may include input gathered from community engagement processes.

    RFP Issued: February 1, 2026 RFP Closes: February 18, 2026
    Proponent Selected: February 20, 2026
    Design Phase: February - March 2026 Final Deliverables: March 16,2026

  2. Proposal Requirements
    Proposals should include the following:
  • Proponent background and relevant experience
  • Examples of similar branding or logo work
  • Proposed approach and process
  • Project timeline
  • Fee structure and total cost (including revisions)
  • Team members (if applicable)
  • Any additional information you feel is relevant
  1. Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the project and values
  • Quality and relevance of past work
  • Proposed approach and methodology
  • Experience with community-based or values-driven organizations
  • Budget and overall value
